Hi, I'm Richard.
I'm a software engineer currently at
Arta Finance, where I work with a small but
scrappy group to make finance more accessible. Thus far I've helped ship features
including portfolio personalization, tax-loss harvesting, direct indexing, and
options income stream simulation in addition to helping out the company where I can.
Before that I was at
Google
for 5+ years, where I worked on several efforts within Maps including contextual
notifications, crisis response, and accessibility. I am also a teacher, having taught
software engineering topics to 1000+ students over 4 years at
Codepath.org.
My alma mater is The University of Iowa where I graduated with Bachelor's degrees in
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Music. In my freetime, I enjoy
traveling,
eating at some of my favorite SF restaurants
, and
grooving to some of my go-to tracks. I'm also getting into golf, but that's a
work in progress :)
